PRE-TREATMENT COURSE SCHEDULED BY EDS FOR MAY 2010

The European Desalination Society (EDS) on 15 January 2010 announced a four-day course on Pretreatment, membrane fouling and scaling to be held in Genoa, Italy, on 31May- 3 June 2010.

Led by Prof Jan C Schippers, former EDS president, the course will include practice and theory on pretreatment, fouling and scaling in micro- and ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis applied for the production of drinking and industrial water production.

The impact of the water source -- seawater, river water, brackish ground water and treated domestic waste water -- will be discussed in depth.
